AquaPaddle Hampton-Molesey now has an alternative location when the River Thames is in Spate (Fast Flowing). Our Friends at Island Barn Sailing Club (https://www.islandbarn.org.uk/) are kindly letting us paddle on their water.
We will need to be there earlier than normal as the new start time for this location will be 8.30 am with the arrival time of no later than 8 am.
The Reservoir has great views and facilities. If you would like to Volunteer and become a member of the local Crew, please contact the local AquaPaddle Captains through the Discord Comms System or email AquaPaddle
The route is 2 times round the Reservoir. It follows the edge of the Reservoir some 10 feet or 3 metres from the edge. There are great views from the rim across Surrey and West London. Definitely one to be added to the list to be visited when the River Thames is not paddleable.
The Launch point is close to the Clubhouse and there is ample parking. The rim of the Reservoir is up a flight of steps, so adaptive paddlers will need some assistance up the ramp.
There will also be time to relax and chat to the other AquaPaddlers after the event, over a hot drink. Make new friends and plan outing of your own.
