Windermere Afloat: AquaPaddle at the Lake District’s Stunning Fell Foot
About
Tucked away at the southern tip of Lake Windermere, the new AquaPaddle at Fell Foot offers a truly unforgettable paddle experience. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Lake District, this beautiful National Trust property is already loved by runners thanks to its popular parkrun — and now paddlers have a reason to fall in love with the water too.
As you glide across the lake’s glassy surface, you’ll be surrounded by the natural beauty of Fell Foot. Towering trees in the historic Pinetum whisper in the breeze, while wildflower meadows burst into colour along the shoreline. Keep an eye out for the area’s rich wildlife — from playful bats at dusk to birds darting over the reeds, and the gentle buzz of bees working among the daisies and cornflowers.
Whether you’re new to paddle sports or looking for a fresh location to enjoy your passion, AquaPaddle at Fell Foot welcomes you. The calm waters and spectacular scenery offer the perfect setting to clear your mind, connect with nature, and be part of a growing community of like-minded paddlers. With Windermere’s open expanse stretching out before you, this is more than just a paddle — it’s a chance to recharge, reflect, and rediscover your love for the outdoors.
