Paddle along the beautiful Kennet and Avon Canal, just outside of the City of Bath. Our route takes you towards Bath and paddlers turn before the tunnels where the canal widens. There is a footpath alongside the canal all the way. This course allows us to paddle when the river levels are high and it can be sheltered from the South Westerly winds.

Bath's beautiful alternative location when the River Avon is flowing too fast. It is a lovely quiet stretch on a Sunday morning. Starting at the historic The George Inn, the route is a simple out-and-back paddle through the wonderful Avon Valley.

Parking
There is limited on-street parking, otherwise park at The George Inn and record/pay on their app. Note the pub opens at 11am.

Refreshments
The George Inn has excellent food and drink or there is also the Café on the Barge, just up the towpath.
Facilities
There are no changing facilities but there is a barge selling tea, coffee and cakes. Highly recommended. Please be aware of members of the public if changing by your car and be discreet.
